This cheerleading class is for youth and teens who want to learn competitive cheerleading but are not quite ready for the full commitment of a team, or are looking for a place to keep their skills sharp while their current teams are on hiatus.


The skills learned in Recreational Cheer cover the basics of cheerleading and routine work. Coaches train athletes on jumps, motions, basic tumbling, and stunting through the first part of the session. Classes focus on basic skill development and progress through levels as individual skills progress.


The goal of the recreational cheer program is for athletes to increase their knowledge base of cheer motions, jumps and also begin to learn the basics of stunting. As the class levels increase, the pace of the skills will increase, the jumps become jump combos and they will also focus on tumbling.
